Southern Utah: Two Surfaces

In the arid climate of the Colorado Plateau—“Red Rock” country—one certainly finds myriad rock surfaces, but also the rare river or creek providing a mirror on both the surrounding rock and the desert sky as well. Like in my “Water Meets Rock” gallery, I’m intrigued by the dichotomy of the ancient, opaque, hard rock surfaces and the ever-changing, translucent, fluidity of water. In this collection, the focus is on the surfaces and the introspection of one and reflection of the other.
